Cracked, chipped, or fractured teeth from an accident or biting something hard. Save any pieces and come in quickly.
Time is critical. Keep the tooth moist (in milk or saliva) and get to us within 30 minutes for the highest chance of saving it.
A missing filling or crown exposes sensitive tooth structure. Avoid chewing on that side and come in so we can restore it.

Quick answers to common questions when you're dealing with a dental emergency.
The cost depends on the treatment needed. An initial emergency consultation and X-ray is typically around $60–$80 with a health fund, or $150–$200 without. We'll always explain costs before proceeding with any treatment, and we offer payment plans through Mac Credit so cost doesn't have to be a barrier to getting help.
We prioritise emergency patients during our opening hours and do our very best to see you the same day you call. If you have a dental emergency outside of hours, call us on (02) 4647 4570 and leave a message — we'll get back to you as soon as possible. For severe emergencies outside hours (difficulty breathing, uncontrolled bleeding), please go to your nearest hospital emergency department.
Bring your health fund card, any medications you're currently taking, and if applicable, any broken tooth pieces (stored in milk). If you're a new patient, arrive 10 minutes early so we can take a brief history. Don't worry about paperwork too much — our priority is getting you comfortable first.
Our first priority is to relieve your pain, not add to it. We use gentle numbing techniques and offer sedation options including happy gas and IV sedation. Most patients tell us the treatment was far more comfortable than they expected. Dr Henry and the team will explain every step before it happens so there are no surprises.
No. We welcome new patients for emergency appointments. Just call us on (02) 4647 4570, let us know what's happening, and we'll get you in as quickly as possible. You don't need a referral.
Yes. We accept all major health funds and can process your claim on the spot with HICAPS. Your out-of-pocket cost will depend on your level of cover. We'll let you know your gap payment before starting any treatment.
